Kyrie Irving Injury Update: Cavs Point Guard Expects To Be Back For Training Camp

Stay connected for news and updates

Kyrie Irving's hand injury was the low point of the Cleveland Cavaliers' offseason, but all indications have been that the star point guard will be back fully healthy for training camp. The latest confirmation comes from Irving himself, who over the weekend spoke with Cavs blog Stepien Rules and said that he is on track to be back on the court come camp:

"My hand's alright. I've had the surgery, and I'm just rehabbing right now. The way it happened was a freak accident, it wasn't an anger play or anything like that. It was just like dang, I messed up, and slapped the wall. I'll be back on the court by September 1st, and I'll be 150-percent by the start of the season".
