Ohio State's Kenny Hayes Transferring To Michigan State

Stay connected for news and updates

Ex-Ohio State Buckeyes defensive lineman Kenny Hayes was granted his release from the program early in August, but now we know where he will be playing next. Hayes will be headed north to the Michigan State Spartans, who will gladly accept a player that was one of the top defensive recruits in the 2011 class.

According to Rivals, Hayes was the No. 68 overall player in the 2011 class and the No. 7 defensive end. But he was never able to find his footing in Columbus, and had recently been excused from spring practice with "recurring headaches."

Hayes will have to sit out the 2012 season due to transfer rules, but will be eligible to play in 2013.
