Lonnie Chisenhall Injury: Indians 3B Likely To Take Batting Practice, Infield This Weekend

Stay connected for news and updates

Cleveland Indians third baseman Lonnie Chisenhall, who has spent the last few months recovering from a broken ulna bone in his forearm, is expected to progress to batting practice and infield drills this weekend when the Indians return home to face the New York Yankees. The team has also not ruled out him returning to major league action this season.

Chisenhall, once of Cleveland's top hitting prospects, was having a mildly improved season in 2012 before going on the DL. Chisenhall was hitting .278/.297/.458 this season before the injury, which occurred on June 29.
