The 2012 Barclays golf tournament begins on Thursday.
The FedEx Cup playoffs begin on Thursday with the start of the 2012 Barclays. This year's Barclays tournament is being held at the Bethpage Black Course in New York.

Tiger Woods heads into this tournament at the top of the FedEx Cup point standings, and he will be a part of one of the feature groups on Thursday since he's playing with Rory McIlroy. McIlroy is third in the FedEx Cup point standings.
Phil Mickelson will be playing alongside Luke Donald and Scott Piercy, while defending Barclays champ Dustin Johnson will tee off with Graeme McDowell and Marc Leishman.
Ohio native Colt Knost tees off at 8:49 ET on Thursday.
The Golf Channel will televise the first round from 2:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. ET.
