2012 PGA Championship: Rory McIlroy Wins Major At 13-Under Par After Bogey-Free Final Round

Ireland's Rory McIlroy played nearly flawless golf on Sunday in his final round at the 2012 PGA Championship, as the 23-year-old rolled over all comers en route to an eight-stroke victory at Kiawah Island's Ocean Course.

McIlroy wrapped up his third round early on Sunday morning to card a 67 and pad his lead entering the day, and came out and actually improved up on his previous score by posting a 66 over his final 18 holes. Along with breaking golfing legend Jack Nicklaus' record of a seven-stroke victory in a major tournament with his eight-shot win, McIlroy became the youngest PGA champion of the stroke-play era.

Expected to be a serious factor heading into the final round, Tiger Woods struggled to maintain consistency over his final few holes and dropped from contention. Woods ended up 11 strokes off the lead at 2-under, and finished in a disappointing tie for 11th place.
