2012 FedEx Cup Standings: Rory McIlroy Jumps Into Commanding Lead

With his narrow yet impressive win on Monday at the Deutsche Bank Championship, Rory McIlroy has soared into the lead of the FedExCup Standings.

The Northern Irish phenom has eight top 10 finishes and three wins this year, including the PGA Championship last month at Kiawah.

Rory is immediately trailed by three Americans -- Nick Watney, Tiger Woods, and Brandt Snedeker.

The biggest mover this weekend was South African Louis Oosthuizen, who finished one stroke behind McIlroy to capture his fifth top five finish, though he remains winless this season.

Jason Dufner, who was born in Cleveland, finds himself in seventh place, after tying for 18th this weekend.

Ohio native Ben Curtis is currently in 47th place in the FedEx standings, which means he will advance to next week's BMW Championship.

Deutsche Bank Championship 2012: Louis Oosthuizen Leads By 3 Strokes Heading Into Monday's Final Round

Powered by an impressive third round score of 63, South Africa's Louis Oosthuizen took firm command of the 2012 Deutsche Bank Championship on Sunday afternoon at TPC Boston.

Oosthuizen, who leads the field by three strokes at 19-under par, pulled off birdies on eight of his first 10 holes to vault up the leaderboard. Although his back nine score of 34 paled in comparison with his eye-popping number of 29 on the front nine, Oosthuizen, who is best remembered for winning the 2010 British Open, remains in control of the event heading into Monday's final round.

Three shots off the pace lies Rory McIlory at 16-under, while Dustin Johnson and Tiger Woods are each firmly in the mix at 13-under par. Cleveland native Jason Dufner entered the day with a legitimate chance to make some noise but suffered a pair of double bogeys during his 1-under round of 70. Dufner remains nine shots away from Oosthuizen's lead, but will enter Monday in a tie for seventh place with a great chance to break into the top five with a hot start.
