Indians Vs. Royals: Ubaldo Jimenez Looks To End Kansas City's Winning Streak

Stay connected for news and updates

Ubaldo Jimenez (9-16, 5.43 ERA) pitches for the Cleveland Indians as they look to end the Kansas City Royals' three-game winning streak at 7:10 p.m. ET Saturday.

Jimenez is 1-1 with a 6.55 ERA in two starts against the Royals this season. He'll face Will Smith (5-8, 5.08 ERA). Smith has faced the Indians once this season, giving up two runs in six innings in an 8-2 Royals win in May.

Cleveland is coming off a 6-3 loss to Kansas City on Friday. The Royals led most of the way, but the Indians cut the lead to one in the seventh inning before the Royals regained control.

The loss caused the Indians to fall .5 games behind the Minnesota Twins and into last place in the AL Central. The Twins didn't play Friday night due to rain.
