The Ohio State Buckeyes have moved up to No. 12 in the AP Top 25 Poll after Saturday's 17-16 victory against the Michigan State Spartans in East Lansing, Mich. They're easily the highest-ranked team in the Big Ten at this point given the problems across the conference so far this season.
At the moment, the Buckeyes are one of just two unbeaten teams remaining in the Big Ten along with the 24th-ranked Northwestern Wildcats. Other than those two teams, the 21st-ranked Nebraska Cornhuskers are the Big Ten's only other ranked team as the Spartans drop out of the top 25.
After narrowly getting by Michigan State, the Buckeyes are looking at another major match-up next Saturday with the Cornhuskers coming to Columbus. The team's schedule weakens significantly after that game, though, as the team plays Indiana, Purdue, Illinois and Penn State over four straight weeks. Those teams are a combined 10-8 this season.
