2012 FedEx Cup Standings: Rory McIlroy Jumps Into Commanding Lead

Stay connected for news and updates

With his narrow yet impressive win on Monday at the Deutsche Bank Championship, Rory McIlroy has soared into the lead of the FedExCup Standings.

The Northern Irish phenom has eight top 10 finishes and three wins this year, including the PGA Championship last month at Kiawah.

Rory is immediately trailed by three Americans -- Nick Watney, Tiger Woods, and Brandt Snedeker.

The biggest mover this weekend was South African Louis Oosthuizen, who finished one stroke behind McIlroy to capture his fifth top five finish, though he remains winless this season.

Jason Dufner, who was born in Cleveland, finds himself in seventh place, after tying for 18th this weekend.

Ohio native Ben Curtis is currently in 47th place in the FedEx standings, which means he will advance to next week's BMW Championship.
