U.S. Open Results 2012: Primetime Matches Suspended Due To Rain

Primetime matches involving Andy Roddick, Novak Djokovic and Maria Sharapova were all suspended on Tuesday night due to rain. In total, four matches were called off, with the fourth involving eighth-seeded Janko Tipsarevic. All four matches were somewhere in their first sets when the skies opened up.

Roddick, who is looking to make one last run at a major championship, was in the midst of a first-set tiebreak with seventh-seeded Juan Martin del Potro. When play resumes on Wednesday, Roddick will have a 1-to-0 lead in the tiebreak. Djokovic, meanwhile, was up 2-to-0 on No. 18 seed Stanislas Wawrinka. In the final suspended match on the men's side, Tipsarevic was up 5-to-2 in the first set on Phillipp Kohlschreiber.

On the women's side, Sharapova, the third seed, was down four games to none to No. 11 sed Marion Bartoli.
