The Akron Zips will be huge underdogs against the Sun Belt's Florida International Panthers on Saturday.

In their season opener the Akron Zips hosted a Florida team, losing to UCF, 56-14. In game two, the Zips will be the ones traveling to the Sunshine State to take on the FIU Panthers.

The Panthers, out of the Sun Belt, are fresh off a 20-point loss to the Duke Blue Devils, yet enter the game as heavy favorites to beat Akron. Despite their season opening loss, the FIU offense looked more than competent at scoring points, with over 500 yards of offense, compared to Duke's 420 yards.

Akron will have to slow FIU's dynamic passing offense, led by Jake Medlock, if they hope to stay within striking distance on Saturday. Medlock finished his opener with 348 yards passing, two touchdowns and no interceptions.

Game time/date: Sept. 7, 6 p.m. ET

Location: FIU Stadium, Miami

TV Schedule/Streaming: ESPN3 (Streaming online)

Odds: Florida International favored by 23 points.
