On Saturday, Michigan will try to take another step toward becoming the first Big Ten team to win a college basketball title since 2000 when they play Syracuse. That games follows an earlier match-up between Louisville and Wichita State

The Cleveland Cavaliers will have three players participate in Friday night's Rising Stars Challenge. Kyrie Irving and Dion Waiters will play for Team Shaq, while Team Chuck will feature Tristan Thompson.

It's been another disappointing winter in Cleveland, where through 31 games the Cavaliers are just 7-24 overall. They currently have the second worst record in the East and are in last place in the Central Division standings.

On Friday, the Cleveland Cavaliers lost their sixth straight game, falling to the Indiana Pacers 99-89 in Indiana. The loss dropped the Cavaliers to just 5-23 overall this season.

On Saturday Ohio State got an 89-55 win over Long Beach State, but got bad news when it was revealed that star point guard Aaron Craft needed stitches after the game. It is not expected that Craft will miss time because of the injury.

On Saturday, the Cleveland Indians acquired former Toronto Blue Jays minor-leaguer Mike McDade off waivers. McDade hit .285 in stops between Double- and Triple-A last year.

While Saturday will serve as a chance for Ohio State to finish the regular season undefeated, it will also serve as a chance for quarterback Braxton Miller to impress Heisman Trophy voters as well. Miller has totaled 27 touchdowns this season.

Kent State claimed the MAC East title with a 31-24 victory over Bowling Green on Saturday. Kent State improved to 10-1 with the win.

The Ohio State basketball team will look to improve to 2-0 this season, when they play Rhode Island Saturday afternoon at the Hall of Fame Tip-Off Classic in Connecticut.
