Walton appeared in 21 games for Cleveland in 2012 and averaged just 2.0 points, 1.7 rebounds and1.4 assists in a little more than 14 minutes each game off the bench.

Walton shot 35 percent from the field and 44 percent from the three-point line while wearing a Cavaliers uniform.

Cleveland Browns quarterback Colt McCoy doesn't seem to be fazed by the rumors that he could potentially be dealt to another team according to a Cleveland.com report. Instead, the 25-year-old who is entering his third NFL season has chosen to remain focused on the task at hand:

"You hear all of the rumors," McCoy said. "I keep a real tight mind-set that my job is quarterback for the Cleveland Browns. And I'm going to go out here and compete and give my best to this city and this organization, because this is where I was drafted, and I don't want to be anywhere else."

In 2010 McCoy suffered a severely pinched nerve in his throwing shoulder and renowned orthopedic surgeon Dr. James Andrews told him that it would take two or three years to make a full recovery. He is now at the two-year mark and says that his arm is beginning to feel stronger:

"He told me, 'You can play, but this could be a two- to three-year ultimate recovery where you feel completely 100 percent,'" said McCoy. "And I think I've almost reached that point where the ball is coming out sharp. I'm pretty accurate. I'm putting the ball where I want to put it. My teammates have been saying I'm on point."

D'Qwell Jackson of the Cleveland Browns returned to practice on Sunday according to a Cleveland.com report. The linebacker had missed the Browns last two preseason games with shoulder injury.

The injury kept Jackson sidelined more for precautionary reasons and wasn't considered to be serious:

"I take care of my body better than I ever have," he said. "It's better to sit out now if something comes up, because it's early. When we get rolling, I'm full steam ahead."

The 28-year-old was just happy to get back on the field and make it through practice unscathed:

"My biggest concern was that I did my conditioning outside of practice," he said. "It's different when you actually put on the helmet and actually go through the tackle and get your read. So that was good. I held up."

The Cleveland Indians are over halfway through their nine-game West coast road trip and over that five game span, they've won just once. The Tribe is in the midst of a four-game losing streak and will be looking to avoid increasing that number in their series finale against the Oakland Athletics.

Over their last 21 games, the Indians are 4-17 and have fallen completely out of the playoff race as the team is now playing for pride and trying to finish the season strong.

Indians manager Manny Acta will send Justin Masterson to the mound against the A's on Sunday. The right-hander has a record of 9-10 this season with a 4.50 ERA, and if Cleveland is going to bring its losing streak to an end, Masterson is the right pitcher to help them accomplish their goal.

The 27-year-old has won his last two starts, first against the Minnesota Twins at home on Aug. 8, then in the first game of Cleveland's road trip against the Los Angeles Angels on Aug. 13.

First pitch from Oakland Coliseum will be at 4:05 p.m. ET.

Lee Kiefer may live in Lexington, Ky. and plans to attend college at Notre Dame, but the 17-year-old rising fencing star was born in Cleveland, Oh. and will be participating at the 2012 Olympic games in London as a member of the American foil team.

According to a feature on ESPN, Kiefer is ranked seventh in the world in foil and has won 14 gold medals at several events including the 2010 Cadet World Championships and the 2009 Junior World Championships:

Last year, she was the only fencer to win individual medals at the Senior, Youth (under 20) and Cadet (under 17) world championships. She took bronze at the Senior event, becoming just the second American female to win an individual foil medal at the event and the first since Iris Zimmerman in 1999. She took silver in the other two.

She comes from a good fencing pedigree as her father, Steve, was once the fencing captain at Duke and her sister, Alex, won a National Championship at Harvard in foil. After the Olympics, Lee Kiefer will begin her college studies in South Bend on a fencing scholarship.

Most casual sports observers that watch the Olympics probably don't pay much attention to rowing. But the State of Ohio will have an athlete to follow in the sport in Cincinnati native Peter Graves.

Graves, the former captain of the Trinity College (Hartford, Conn.) rowing squad, was selected by USRowing to represent the country in the quadruple sculls this summer in London. Here's a look at some of Peter Graves' collegiate accomplishments in the sport, courtesy of the Trinity College athletic site:

At Trinity, Graves led the Bantams to varsity-eight gold medals in the 2004 and 2005 Head of the Charles Regattas in Cambridge, Mass., the 2005 San Diego Crew Classic, the 2005 Temple Challenge Cup at the Henley Royal Regatta, and the 2006 Eastern College Athletic Conference (ECAC) National Regatta. His Trinity crews captured three consecutive New England Small College Athletic Conference (NESCAC) from 2005 to 2007. As a freshman, Graves was a semifinalist in the double sculls at the 2004 Henley Royal Regatta, and he won a gold medal in the event in 2005 in the USRowing National Championships.

The rowing events will take place in Eton, England on Dorney Lake.

The Columbus Blue Jackets superstar forward, Rick Nash, will eventually be traded, but the team is in no rush to do so according to general manager Scott Howson.

In an interview with the Sporting News, Howson says the team doesn't really know what's going to happen and will take their time in a making a deal in the best interest of the organization.

"I wish I had the crystal ball. I really don't know," Howson said. "I think in free agency now, that's where teams' attention is. We'll figure out after the chips fall if there's something there that would make sense for us."

Howson reportedly has a very steep asking price and making matters even more complicated, Nash has a no-trade clause and will only approve deals to the New York Rangers, Detroit Red Wings, Philadelphia Flyers and San Jose Sharks

They'll take a frugal approach to free agency this summer, even though they have several holes to fill.

The free-agent class is comparatively weak. There are few good, young stars on the market.

Secondly, the Cavs want to maintain their flexibility at the trade deadline in February and next summer.

According to the team's website, they still have a few holes to fill at the small forward and power forward positions, but whoever they decide on will have to come cheap.
