Officials during Sunday’s game didn’t throw a flag for either hit by Steelers’ LB James Harrison on Browns WRs Josh Cribbs or Mohamed Massaquoi – both of which left the game with concussions. The League Office, however, didn’t see things the same way.
The NFL handed out their fines for last Sunday’s games, and included in the list was Harrison and a $75,000 fine for those hits. It has been a huge topic of conversation the past few days, with the NFL coming out today to say that suspensions for violent hits will start as soon as this weekend.
Also getting fined this week were Falcons CB Dunte’ Robinson for his helmet-to-helmet hit on the Eagles DeSean Jackson and Patriots S Brandon Meriweather for a shot to the head of Ravens TE Todd Heap.
