Say what you want about Mike Brown, owner of the Cincinnati Bengals. His methods are a bit outdated at times, and he has no problem playing hardball with players. When Carson Palmer announced during the off-season that he would rather retire than play another down in Cincinnati, Brown told him to stay home. The Bengals then drafted Andy Dalton in the 2nd Round of the 2011 NFL Draft.
↵The result? The Bengals are 4-2 and Dalton looks like the real deal.
↵As for Palmer? The Bengals have agreed to a trade with the Oakland Raiders, sending the unhappy quarterback out west for a 1st Round pick in 2011 and and conditional 1st Round pick in 2013. That's right, Mike Brown just acquired TWO first round picks for a player he has paid zero money to in 2011, and who hasn't thrown a pass since January.
