The Cleveland Browns are already shorthanded as they prepare to host the St. Louis Rams on Sunday afternoon. Friday they got even worse news as safety T.J. Ward missed practice and was ruled as likely out for Sunday's game according to Yahoo Sports:
Ward sustained an unspecified foot injury last week in Houston and was placed in a cast. He has not been seen at the team's training facility all week. Usama Young(notes) will likely fill in for Ward. Young was practising with the first-team defense on Friday after sitting out the past two days with a hip injury.
Ward has been solid for the Browns with 39 tackles and a sack in eight games this season. He has also forced a fumble. Last season he picked off two passes and had 123 tackles as he was able to play in all 16 games. He had a season high eight tackles in week six at Oakland.
