It was fitting that an evenly played game was decided on the final play.
The Jaguars had two yards and two plays to score a go-ahead touchdown. Both times, the Jaguars decided not to get the ball into the hands of star running back Maurice Jones-Drew. Because of that and pass coverage by linebacker D’Qwell Jackson the Browns held on to beat the Jaguars 14-10.
On the previous drive, Browns kicker Phil Dawson missed a 38-yard field goal that would have put the Browns up 17-10. But it was a field goal that wasn’t needed.
Browns quarterback Colt McCoy had a solid game, completing 17 of 24 passes for 199 yards, a touchdown and an interception. Cleveland got a strong game out of running back Chris Ogbonnaya, who finished with 115 yards and a touchdown on 21 attempts. A 40-yard run in the fourth quarter helped the Browns use more time off the clock.
The win pushes the Browns to 4-6 on the season, and drops the Jaguars to 3-7.
On a designed roll out to the right, Colt McCoy connected on a three-yard touchdown to wide receiver Josh Cribbs to help put the Browns ahead 14-7. It is Cribbs’ fourth touchdown catch of the season.
McCoy now has 187 yards passing on the game. Cribbs has caught three passes today for 20 yards. The scoring drive was highlighted by two 11-yard passes, one to fullback Owen Marecic and one to wide receiver Greg Little.
The 12-play drive went 85 yards and lasted just more than six minutes.
Going into the fourth quarter, the Browns and Jaguars remain tied at 7-7. The Browns are currently driving down the field to start the fourth quarter.
The Browns could be ahead 10-7 but an almost certain scoring drive ended in turnover. The Browns were driving down the field before Colt McCoy was intercepted at the three-yard line. McCoy’s pass, intended for tight end Benjamin Watson, was picked off by Dawan Landry, who returned the ball 28 yards to the Jacksonville 31.
The ensuing drive was stopped by the Browns thank s in large part to defensive tackle Phil Taylor. The rookie tackled Maurice Jones-Drew for a loss and forced the Jaguars to punt after pressuring quarterback Blaine Gabbert.
On the game, Jones-Drew has carried the ball 16 times for 71 yards and a touchdown. Gabbert is 12 of 23 for 115 yards passing. McCoy is 12 of 18 for 162 yards.

Despite playing against one of the league’s best passing defenses, the Browns moved the ball through the air consistently during the first half.
Colt McCoy’s 117 yards passing have helped the Browns stay on the field and tie the game at 7-7 after two quarters. McCoy’s counterpart, Blaine Gabbert, has 97 passing yards, completing 11 of 17 passes.
Maurice Jones-Drew expectedly leads the game in rushing yards with 54 on 12 attempts. The Browns’ Chris Ogbonnaya has just 17 yards on nine carries. Both running backs have a touchdown.
The Browns scored on a one-yard sweep by running back Chris Ogbonnaya with just over three minutes left in the second quarter. The touchdown capped an 87-yard drive and is the team’s first home touchdown since Oct. 2.
The highlight of the drive was a 51-yard catch-and-run from undrafted rookie wide receiver Jordan Norwood. The Browns were gifted a pass interference penalty on a pass that looked like it was tipped by Jaguars defensive lineman C.J. Moseley.
So far today, Colt McCoy has completed eight of 13 passes for the Browns for 117 yards. He’s completed passes to six different receivers.
The Jaguars scored the first points of the game early in the second quarter on a six-yard touchdown run by Maurice Jones-Drew. The 18-play, 92-yard drive lasted nearly 10 minutes and featured four third-down conversions for the Jaguars. It is the team's longest drive of the season.
After the touchdown, Jones-Drew mocked the Browns fans by doing a LeBron James chalk throw celebration. How cute.

The Cleveland Browns and Jacksonville Jaguars are scoreless after a quarter that featured five penalties. Jacksonville is currently driving down the field on the legs of rookie quarterback Blaine Gabbert.
The 10th overall pick in this year’s draft has 10 rushing yards on the last two plays, one of which went for a first down. Maurice Jones-Drew leads the Jaguars in rushing yards with 19 on four carries. Chris Ogbonnaya leads the Browns with 15 yards on five carries.
Returning after suffering the affects of a concussion, Browns wide receiver Mohamed Massaquoi has one reception for 13 yards.
Browns free safety Mike Adams missed a few plays with an undisclosed ankle injury and was replaced by rookie Eric Hagg. The Browns are already without starting strong safety TJ Ward today.
Tight end Benjamin Watson leads the Browns in receiving with two catches for 18 yards. Thus far, Colt McCoy has completed five of seven passes for 40 yards. Gabbert has 30 yards passing, completing four of six attemps.
The Browns will start Emmanuel Stephens at right defensive end in place of Jayme Mitchell, who started the first nine games of the season.
The decision was made by the coaches and not because Mitchell is injured. The Browns claimed Stephens off waivers in September after he was cut by the Atlanta Falcons.
After registering a sack and a half against the Miami Dolphins in Week 3, Mitchell has struggled. Stephens has played well the past two weeks, finishing with four tackles in each game.
The Cleveland Browns offense will again be without running back Peyton Hillis when they face the Jacksonville Jaguars on Sunday in Cleveland. Hillis has been ruled out for the fifth straight game with a nagging hamstring injury.
Chris Ogbonnaya will start at running back for Cleveland with Montario Hardesty also on the shelf again this week. Ogbonnaya will try to build on the production he put up last week against St. Louis when he rushed for 90 yards on 19 carries.
The Browns offense should also get a boost with wide receiver Mohammed Massaquoi returning to the lineup as a target for quarterback Colt McCoy.
On the defensive side, safety T.J. Ward will be out again, replaced in the starting lineup by Usama Young. Here is the inactive list released by the Browns.
#Browns inactives vs. Jaguars: QB T. Lewis, RB M. Hardesty and P. Hillis, DB T. Ward, OL S. Vallos and O. Cousins and TE J. Cameron.
The Jacksonville Jaguars try to win two games in a row for the first time this season when they visit the Cleveland Browns on Sunday. After beating the Indianapolis Colts last week, the Jags appear to remain healthy with their key offensive weapons ready to go this week against the Browns. Former Ohio State receiver Brian Robiskie remains sidelined for Jacksonville, having only played two games this season.
Jacksonville released their inactive list for week 11 which includes the following players.
Jaguars inactives: WR Brian Robiskie, RB Brock Bolen, C John Estes, DE Aaron Kampman, PR/WR Cecil Shorts III, TE Fendi Onobun, DT Terrance Knighton
The Browns have been struggling on offense while missing some key players to injury, including running back Peyton Hillis who will again be out for the Browns on Sunday when they face the Jaguars. This gives quarterback Blaine Gabbert and the Jacksonville offense a chance to build on the win last week. Running back Maurice Jones-Drew will need to do his thing on the ground to make things easier for the young quarterback.
Colt McCoy has had four straight underwhelming fantasy totals, and Week 11 against the Jacksonville Jaguars is probably not the game he will be able to rebound and put up an adequate total similar to his first five games.
The Jaguars are currently fifth in passing yards against (189 yards per game) and fourth overall in total passing yards allowed (1,704 passing yards). In standard fantasy formats, the Jaguars defense allows opposing quarterbacks almost three fantasy points less than the average defense. Last week, the Jaguars held the Colts' passing attack virtually scoreless.
Of course, Colt McCoy could surprise, but the fantasy experts are not expecting it. According to Numberfire.com, McCoy will pass for less than what the Jaguars average giving up per game (171 yards) and just over one touchdown. Over the last month, McCoy has thrown just two touchdowns and has turned the ball over eight times, and that trend is projected to continue on Sunday vs. the Jaguars.
Stay away from McCoy unless you have no other options.
The Cleveland Browns are coming off a bad loss to the St. Louis Rams and are facing the last of their perceived "easy" games for the next few weeks. The AFC North is perhaps the most competitive division in football, and the Browns could ill-afford to lose against a team like St. Louis. Now, when they take on the Jacksonville Jaguars, they really need a win to keep up with Cincinnati, Pittsburgh and Baltimore. It's going to be a tall order though, with Peyton Hillis still injured.
Jacksonville is coming off a win, though it's over the hapless, winless Indianapolis Colts. You can only beat who is front of you, and at the very least, it will help them in the standing. The 17-3 win was calm, slow, and dominating. Exactly what they were looking for.
Game Date/Time: Sunday, Nov. 20, 1:00 p.m. ET
Location: Cleveland Browns Stadium, Cleveland, OH
TV Schedule: CBS
TV Announcers: Bill Macatee, Steve Tasker
Radio: WMMS/WTAM-100.7
The second-favorite option in the Cleveland Browns' wide receiving corps, Benjamin Watson hasn't put up a double-digit fantasy game in over a month, the last time he scored a touchdown (Week 4). That could change on Sunday vs. the Jaguars.
However, the Jaguars will likely pay most attention to the Browns' number one target, rookie Greg Little, which could mean that Watson reaps the benefits. While Numberfire.com doesn't think that will happen, only projecting him to have about 35 receiving yards and less than half a touchdown, keep in mind that the Jags defense allows tight ends to score more than four points above average defenses.
Benching Watson is probably the safest play, depending on who your other tight ends are, but Watson could be the lone surprise for a depleted Cleveland offense going up against a very strong pass defense.
The Cleveland Browns will be without the services of Peyton Hillis and T.J. Ward this weekend, something that has all but been official since last Sunday's game came to a close, but Friday's injury report did reveal a bit of good news. Back-up running back Montario Hardesty was able to go through a partial practice on Friday and is listed as questionable for the game against the Jacksonville Jaguars.
Hardesty is one of four players listed as having a 50-50 chance of playing on Sunday as defensive lineman Auston English, offensive lineman Tony Pashos and defensive back Dimitri Patterson are all questionable as well.
The Browns entire injury report for Week 11 is included below.

The Jacksonville Jaguars haven't been the most consistent team in the NFL this season, but they got a bit of a boost from the injury report this week. The Jaguars will be missing just one starter, defensive tackle Terrance Knighton, when they visit the Cleveland Browns on Sunday.
Knighton planned to be out with his ankle injury since Thursday.
Knighton hasn't made much of an impact on the box score this season, but his depth will be missed as C.J. Mosley moves into the starting lineup:
Jaguars' defensive tackle Terrance Knighton, who missed the first game of his career in Indianapolis last week, is likely to miss his second game Sunday in Cleveland.
"You've got to be smart about it," Knighton said of the need to let the deep bone bruise in his ankle heal.

The injury news is getting a little bit better for the Cleveland Browns, as wide receiver Mohamed Massaquoi continues to near his return from a concussion. Massaquoi missed significant time before returning against the Houston Texans two weeks ago, but left in the second half with more concussion-like symptoms (which essentially means "concussion"). He went on to miss the game against the St. Louis Rams last week to be safe.
On Wednesday, Massaquoi was limited in practice, and the same goes for Thursday. Mary Kay Cabot reported on Twitter that Massaquoi was likely to play, and then had a quote from Massaquoi, attesting to the wide receiver's optimism about his chances to be active against the Jaguars.
#browns wr Mohamed massaquoi (concussion) is "real optimistic" he can play Sunday.
The wide receiver also suffered a concussion last season. After trying to play once, he'll likely be very cautious on Sunday, but it looks like he's already passed all the tests he needs to. Josh Cribbs has been playing in his place when he's been out.
With Peyton Hillis already declared out for Sunday's game against the Jacksonville Jaguars, the Cleveland Browns severely need some help at the running back position. Chis Ogbonnaya and Thomas Clayton have been serviceable, but unable to get the job done and support Colt McCoy, who has shown over the last few weeks that he just can't carry the game on his own. Cleveland boasts a strong pass defense, but no offense to back it up.
That might change, at least a little bit this week, as there is hope that Montario Hardesty can play. Mary Kay Cabotreported on Twitter that Hardesty, Hillis' backup who was hurt in a game against the San Francisco 49ers, was pegged as a game-time decision by Browns head coach Pat Shurmur.
Hardesty tested his calf on Thursday in a supervised workout, but did not practice with the team. Hardesty expressed his desire to play, but with Hillis re-injuring himself, they're being careful with the muscle tear.

The Cleveland Browns have their fair share of injury issues heading into Sunday's game with the Jacksonville Jaguars. Unfortunately Thursday's injury reports didn't alleviate any of the said issues as there were no changes from Wednesday's week-oping report.
Running backs Peyton Hillis and Montario Hardesty along with defensive back T.J. Ward all missed the entire practice. All three will likely be ruled out when the Browns release thier final injury report of the week on Friday.
The remaining injury report is included below.

The Jacksonville Jaguars were able to return the majority of their players to practice on Thursday, at least on a limited basis, as they get set to face the Cleveland Browns. Unfortunately for the visiting Jaguars, however, starting defensive tackle Terrance Knighton was not one of those players.
Knighton hasn't made much of an impact on the box score this season, but his depth will be missed as C.J. Mosley moves into the starting lineup.

Cleveland Browns wide receiver Mohamed Massaquoi missed last week's game against the St. Louis Rams after originally suffering a concussion on Oct. 23 in a win over the Seattle Seahawks, but he returned to practice on a limited basis on Wednesday.
“I’m feeling good,” Massaquoi said. “Whenever you talk about concussions and the head, yes (you’re concerned) just because you only have one brain, but we have great doctors. I feel good right now. I’m not really concerned about it right now because we did our due-diligence just to make sure we took care of everything and we’ll go on from there.”
Massaquoi, who also suffered a concussion last season, was symptom-free entering last week's game against the Rams but was removed in the second half when symptoms returned.
On the season, Massaquoi has a career-high 624 receiving yards and three touchdown catches, but Cleveland has fought injuries all season and their 131 points ranks tied for second fewest in the NFL with the Indianapolis Colts.
Cleveland Browns running back Montario Hardesty did not participate in practice with teammates indoors on Wednesday, but he did test his injured calf during a supervised outdoor workout, as reported by Tom Withers of the AP.
"I want to play, but right now we’re still working to get there," he said. "So we’re just gonna keep on progressing. I’ve been running, just keep on progressing and see how I feel."
Hardesty has missed two straight games after tearing a muscle in his right calf in a loss to the San Francisco 49ers on Oct. 30, as the Browns have been hit hard at running back with both Hardesty and Peyton Hillis missing time with injuries.
But while Hillis has already been ruled out for this week, Coach Pat Shurmur expects Hardesty to practice this week and hopes he can play on Sunday when the Browns take on the Jacksonville Jaguars.
The Cleveland Browns are slated to play the Jacksonville Jaguars this weekend, but the team probably won't be able to take advantage of the Jags' banged up defensive line like it would most weeks. The Browns released their first injury report of the week on Wednesday with no surprises, meaning top running backs Peyton Hillis and Montario Hardesty were still out due to injury.
Hillis continues to miss practice time with a hamstring injury while Hardesty is dealing with a calf injury. Hillis has already been ruled out for the Jaguars game and even though Hardesty hasn't been yet, his status on Wednesday is not exactly encouraging.
The only other player that missed practice on Wednesday is defensive back T. J. Ward. Ward, dealing with injuries to both his foot and his finger, is expected to miss this weekend as well.
The full injury report is included below.

The Jacksonville Jaguars are relatively healthy heading into their Week 11 match-up with the Cleveland Browns, but Maurice Jones-Drew's team looks to be a bit shorthanded on the defensive side of the football. The Jaguars first injury report of the week showed three defensive lineman out with injury.
Starting defensive tackle Terrance Knighton missed practice as he continues to deal with an ankle injury a couple of weeks ago while defensive ends Aaron Kampmann and John Chick were also out due to injury. A fourth defensive lineman, Tyson Alualu, was absent as well - though he was not out due to injury.

The Cleveland Browns will be without their star running back once again on Sunday, when they take on the Jacksonville Jaguars. According to Mary Kay Cabot, Browns' Head Coach Pat Shurmur said on Monday that Peyton Hillis would be out with his lingering hamstring injury. Hillis has missed several games, and at one point, seemed close to returning, taking some time in practice to work a little and see how it held up. Eventually, before the game against the Texans two weeks ago, Hillis had his hamstring tighten up and he was immediately declared out.
At the beginning of last week, Hillis was declared out before any other injury report information was given. This week, he's out again, several days early, so the injury is looking worse. It is possible that Hillis is nearing the time where he can return, but after two separate occasions in which Hillis re-injured the hamstring, the team could be playing it very safe.
Also of note is the fact that safety T.J. Ward will be out on Sunday with a foot injury. Ward is set to have his cast changed on Monday and will get another X-ray before the team decides what to do with him, though Shurmur did say that there are no plans to place either him or Hillis on injured reserve and he hopes they'll both be back this season.
