Week 11 NFL Power Rankings: FOX Sports Drops Browns One Spot

While it was surprising to see Pete Prisco drop the Cleveland Browns seven spots in his Week 11 NFL power rankings, all the way down to No. 31, it won't be all-that surprising to see them there in other rankings, but that's mostly due to their ranking the previous week. They're coming off a loss to the St. Louis Rams, their third consecutive, and are struggling to get anything done on either side of the football. Colt McCoy can't carry the offense and Peyton Hillis is out for another week.

FOX Sports drops the Browns to No. 31:

31. It's bad when your best offensive weapon is a field goal kicker, and you can't even get him the ball.

That's two spots down from last week, which isn't a dramatic drop given the fact that the loss was to the Rams, who have occupied one part of the bottom three or four spots all year in most power rankings. There's a lot going on in Cleveland right now, and very little of it is good.

Week 11 NFL Power Rankings: CBS Sports Drops Browns Seven Spots

The Cleveland Browns are coming off a tough loss to the St. Louis Rams, a game that was viewed as a brief respite and a way to get back in the win column for Cleveland. Offensively, they weren't able to produce without running back Peyton Hillis once again, and quarterback Colt McCoy threw for just over 100 yards on the day. Defensively, they performed well against the pass, but let Steven Jackson rush for over 100 yards. It was just a bad day for the Browns, who are sitting at the bottom of the AFC North, far behind the Bengals, Steelers and Ravens. They're falling far down power rankings.

CBS Sports drops the Browns a whopping seven spots in their Week 11 NFL power rankings:

31. Losing at home to the Rams is their third consecutive loss. They just don't do enough on offense.

Cleveland occupied CBS Sports' No. 24 spot in last week's rankings, but losing to the Rams has given them a seven-point decrease, by far the biggest in any of the major power rankings. Most of them still have the Rams lower than the Browns, but Pete Prisco is subscribing to the equal and opposite reaction theory.

Week 11 NFL Power Rankings: ESPN Move Browns Towards Bottom Of NFL

We already looked at the SB Nation NFL Power Rankings for Week 11.  Now we take a peak at ESPN's rankings which have the Browns dropping closer and closer to Indianapolis Colts country.

The Browns dropped three places - from No. 25 to No. 28 - after their 13-12 loss to the Rams.  Perhaps even more of an indictment against the Browns is the comment left by AFC East blogger James Walker:

"It looks as though the game is moving way too fast for rookie coach Pat Shurmur."

While painful, it isn't necessarily inaccurate.  Starting all the way back in Week 1, when a complete mental breakdown by the Browns defense cost them a game against the Cincinnati Bengals, the Browns have appeared to be ill-prepared, especially in key moments - late in the first half and at the end of the game.

Couple in the fact that the Browns are the only team in the NFL not to have scored a touchdown in the 1st and 3rd quarter and you cans see why Shurmur is getting so much criticism.

The rest of the AFC North sees the Pittsburgh Steelers at No. 4, the Baltimore Ravens at No. 6 and the Bengals at No. 11.

Only the Miami Dolphins, St. Louis Rams, Carolina Panthers and Indianapolis Colt are behind the Browns on ESPN's list.
