Week 13 NFL Power Rankings: CBS Sports Keeps Browns At No. 24

The Cleveland Browns are facing a tough point in their season, with a loss to the Cincinnati Bengals in their last outing, and two games against AFC North rivals Pittsburgh and Baltimore, the next couple weeks couple make or break their season. It's already in a bad way, with bad losses coming earlier in the year with the absence of running back Peyton Hillis.

CBS Sports keeps them at No. 24 in their Week 13 NFL power rankings:

24. They have to get a playmaker on offense like they saw last week with A.J. Green. They are fighting still.

They didn't get moved down this week because they showed a spark offensively that has been absent most of the season. Colt McCoy played well, and that's something the Browns sorely needed to happen, all things considered. He hasn't been able to really lead this offense this season, and any progress is sorely needed for the Browns to have a chance at coming back and fighting for the AFC North.

Week 13 NFL Power Rankings: FOX Sports Jumps Browns To No. 30

The Cleveland Browns did lose to the Cincinnati Bengals on Sunday, but the team competed well and almost upset their AFC North rivals. They'll have another chance to upset a division rival over the next two weeks, when they take on the Baltimore Ravens and Pittsburgh Steelers. For now, they remain in the bottom half of the league, and really, in the bottom five or so teams. Most power rankings have the Browns falling slightly or holding this week.

Fox Sports actually moves the Browns up one spot:

30. Even with a decent performance on Sunday, the Browns should seriously consider finding a long-term QB solution, because Colt McCoy just isn't it.

Though they were moved up one spot - it still leaves them in the bottom three teams in the league. They only got moved up due to the struggles of the St. Louis Rams in their loss to the Arizona Cardinals. Still, they're not out of things yet, and can do some damage against their division in the coming weeks.

Week 13 NFL Power Rankings: ESPN Drops Browns To No. 27

The Cleveland Browns have suffered a variety of "tough losses" this season, but the definition of that seems to change weekly. When they lost to the St. Louis Rams, it was a tough loss because they missed an opportunity against a struggling team. On Sunday, the Browns suffered a tough loss because they couldn't get things done against a slumping division rival with a chance of competing still in sight. They're generally holding or falling in most power rankings following that loss.

ESPN drops them down three spots in their Week 13 NFL power rankings:

27. The Browns have scored 21 points or more just once this season. (Walker)

It's not that they're no longer in a position to compete, but it's a lot harder, especially because the Cincinnati Bengals have been good this year, and they're a division rival. Cleveland does have the Pittsburgh Steelers and Baltimore Ravens over the next two weeks though, so it does present another opportunity to get back in the thick of things in the AFC North.
