Browns Vs. Ravens: Cleveland Heads To Baltimore Playing For Pride

The Browns are looking to end a 7-game losing streak to the Ravens on Saturday.

Seneca Wallace is likely to get this second straight start on Saturday when the Browns head to the east coast to face the Baltimore Ravens. Playing on a short week after losing to the Arizona Cardinals 20-17 last Sunday, the Browns are struggling to find any positives as another disappointing season comes to an end.

Baltimore is coming off a loss to the San Diego Chargers last Sunday night, an embarrassing 34-14 loss that could have cost the Ravens dearly had the Pittsburgh Steelers taken care of their own business on Monday night against the San Francisco 49ers. They did not, however, and the Ravens now control their own destiny in the AFC North.

The Ravens also have a win over the Houston Texans under their belt meaning the AFC's No. 2 seed is all theirs if they continue to win.

For the Browns, however, it is a matter of pride. Cleveland has lost 8-of-10 and has just one win away from Cleveland Browns Stadium. The fell to the Ravens 24-10 on December 4th in a game that wasn't as competitive as the final score would indicate. Ravens running back Ray Rice ran for 204 yards on 29 carries the last time around and the Browns should expect to see plenty of Rice on Saturday.

"The goal (is) to make sure we minimize his effect on the game," coach Pat Shurmur told the team's website. "We've done some things schematically to help us, and we just keep emphasizing that everyone has to play better. I've seen that."

The Browns haven't beaten the Ravens since 33-30 win in Baltimore on November 18, 2007.
