2011 NFL Mock Draft: Would A.J. Green Be A Good Fit For The Browns?

Stay connected for news and updates

The NFL Draft is rapidly approaching, and more and more mocks are starting to pour in. Evan Silva just posted his latest on Pro Football Talk, and it has to be somewhat of a dream come true for Browns' fans. He has them taking Georgia WR A.J. Green at sixth overall, giving Colt McCoy a reliable target to throw to for years to come. Here is his rationale, as if it's needed.

Green is a top-five player on film, and Colt McCoy’s potential to be a franchise quarterback will be significantly reduced if Cleveland rides the status quo at receiver.  A game-breaking deep threat, Green is exactly the sort of “home-run hitter” that club president Mike Holmgren is pining for.

There are some out there who think that Green is the best player in this draft, so to get him at the sixth pick would be incredible value for the Browns. And getting that value at a position of need is a huge bonus. Green can be a game-breaker in the NFL, and he could give the Browns an added dimension to their offense.
