2011 NFL Mock Draft: Will the Browns Get A Chance To Draft A.J. Green?

Stay connected for news and updates

The Browns have a number of holes on their roster, and they should be able to get a good prospect to fill one of them with their first round pick in the upcoming draft. The direction they will go with that pick will probably depend on who is available when they choose. In the latest 2011 NFL Mock Draft at SB Nation, the best position available is wide receiver, and they have the Browns pulling the trigger on Georgia's A.J. Green. Here is their rationale.

Arguably the best player in the draft, Green would do wonders for Colt McCoy's development.

They shouldn't have to even explain why Green would be an intriguing pick for the Browns. He has the type of talent to be a major difference maker at a position of need for the Browns. He would also make the rest of the players on offense better as he would draw attention away from them. And he'd be the kind of player that could greatly increase the rate at which Browns' QB Colt McCoy progresses. If Green is on the board, I think he'd be a home-run for the Browns.
