Browns' Training Camp: Josh Cribbs Leaves Practice With Seemingly Minor Leg Or Knee Injury

The Browns' Josh Cribbs left Sunday's practice with what is being called a left knee or leg injury after a defender came down on the leg in one-on-one drills, according to this story by Mary Kay Cabot on Cleveland.com.

The Browns seem to think that it is a minor problem and that Cribbs will be ready for the August 13 exhibition opener, but there is no sense taking any chances with the veteran Cribbs.

"I just don't want to push myself to the point where I can't play in the preseason games,'' said Cribbs. "They would've told me to push through it if I was a rookie fighting for a spot or something, but they told me to take it easy.'

Cribbs himself seems to think that it is a muscle strain, but to be sure, the Browns will probably have an MRI done on the Cleveland wide receiver and kick returner.

Cribbs has run eight kickoffs and two punts back for touchdowns in his NFL career, and last year averaged 19.5 yards per catch on 23 receptions, with one score through the air.
