Did Brodrick Bunkley Fail His Physical With Cleveland Browns

All along we thought that defensive tackle Brodrick Bunkley didn't want to play in Cleveland.  After being traded by the Philadelphia Eagles to the Browns for a 5th Round pick in the 2012 NFL Draft, Bunkley reportedly never showed up, and today the deal was nullified.

Just a disgruntled vet, upset by moving from a contender to a team still trying to rebuild, right? Maybe not.

According to Mary Kay Cabot of the Cleveland Plain Dealer, Bunkley indeed showed up in Cleveland on Saturday to report to work only for concerns to be raised during his physical.  The Browns were reportedly so concerned that they sent Bunkley back to Philadelphia, canceling the deal.

The Eagles sent Bunkley to the Denver Broncos on Monday for a pick in the 2013 NFL Draft, which could also signal some kind of injury concerns.

Now the Browns are back to square one, thin along the defensive front, especially with top draft pick Phil Taylor still holding out.  Taylor did tweet tonight that he is hoping to be on the field as early as Tuesday for Browns practice.
