According to Mary Kay Cabot of the Cleveland Plain Dealer, the Cleveland Browns and tight end Evan Moore are close to completing a “multi-year” contract extension.
The Browns have made it very clear that they are going to re-sign guys they want to be the core of their team. We have already seen left tackle Joe Thomas receive a hefty contract extension, and there have been talks that running back Peyton Hillis could be in line for a new deal as well.
Moore has proven to be one of Colt McCoy’s top targets this pre-season though he’s battled some injuries. It would be a great vote of confidence for the young tight end for the Browns to lock him up for a couple more years.
