NFL Draft 2012: FOX Mock Draft Doesn't See The Browns Trading Up For Griffin

Stay connected for news and updates

The most popular draft selection in mock drafts these days by far for the Cleveland Browns is Baylor Bears QB and Heisman winner Robert Griffin III. Recently the trend has also been to guess that the Browns will need to trade up to get St. Louis' second overall pick if they want to snag RGIII in the draft, but the new FOX Sports mock draft released today doesn't seem to indicate that will be necessary after all.

The mock has Andrew Luck going first overall to the Colts as we all expect he will but then swaps it around by having receiver Justin Blackmon sneak into St. Louis, leaving the Browns wide open to snag Griffin. The Browns still certainly have the trade bait necessary to move up in the draft if needed with their extra first round pick sitting around. Of course, nobody has ruled out Peyton Manning going to the Browns either, but we'll leave that one in the 'highly unlikely' category for now.
