D'Qwell Jackson injury: Browns LB expects to play Sunday

Stay connected for news and updates

Cleveland Browns linebacker D'Qwell Jackson was knocked out of the team's Week 5 game against the New York Giants with a concussion, but he says he has passed all tests and that he expects to play in Week 6 against the Cincinnati Bengals. "I'm a full go." Jackson told The News-Herald, "I passed all the tests. I'm rested. I feel fine." He leads the team in sacks (3), shares the lead in interceptions (2) with Craig Robertson and also shares the team lead for fumble recoveries (1). The 29-year-old LB is just one-half of a sack away from his career high, which he set in 2011.

Cleveland's defense will Joe Haden back from suspension this week, so if Jackson sees the field the unit may improve quickly. The defense is currently ranked No. 25 against the pass and No. 27 against the run, while their mark of 27.8 points allowed per game puts them at No. 25 in the NFL.

The Browns host the Bengals in Week 6. They lost the previous meeting in Week 2 by a score of 34-27.
