Browns' Josh Gordon nominated for NFL Rookie of the Week honor

Cleveland Browns wide receiver Josh Gordon has been nominated for the NFL Rookie of the Week for his performance in the Browns 34-24 victory over the Cincinnati Bengals.

Cleveland Browns wide receiver Josh Gordon has been nominated for the NFL Rookie of the Week award for his Week 6 performance. In the Browns 34-24 victory over the Cincinnati Bengals, Gordon had three receptions for 99 yards, including a one-handed 71 yard touchdown reception.

Gordon is nominated along with Washington Redskins QB Robert Griffin III, Miami Dolphins QB Ryan Tannehill, Seattle Seahawks QB Russell Wilson, and Tampa Bay Buccaneers S Mark Barron. Griffin had one touchdown passing and two rushing, as well as 138 yards on the ground. Tannehill passed for 185 yards and two touchdowns and Wilson threw for 293 yards and three TDs. Barron led the Bucs with eight tackles and an interception. Every nominee's team won their Week 6 game.

Gordon was selected by the Browns in the second round of the 2012 Supplemental Draft out of Baylor. He has caught three touchdowns in Cleveland's last two games.
