Andrew Weber-US PRESSWIRE - Presswire

Rookie wideout Josh Gordon could see extra passes as several Cleveland wide receivers are struggling with injuries. As the Browns prepare for Monday's showdown with the New York Giants, Mohamed Massaquoi, Joshua Cribbs, and Travis Benjamin are uncertain.

All three are currently day-to-day, and coach Pat Shurmur hasn't divulged very much information. He said, "We'll have to see. We'll make the roster as good as we can make it. We're gonna put the guys on the field that can play and give us the best opportunity to win."

Gordon has seven receptions for 93 yards so far this season. He was a standout receiver at Baylor, but is still getting used to the Browns' system. According to Gordon, "From where I'm at, my role, I'm more comfortable, learning more." Still, injuries could force Gordon to hasten his development: "With guys down, one of us has to step up and be a big time player."
