Browns vs. Giants: Cleveland lists 10 players on initial Week 5 injury report

Mitch Stringer-US PRESSWIRE - Presswire

Browns receiver Josh Cribbs was a limited participant in Wednesday's practice after suffering a head injury last week against the Ravens.

Though he left last Thursday's game against Baltimore after a scary head injury, Cleveland Browns receiver Josh Cribbs returned to the practice field on Wednesday and is one of 10 Cleveland players on the team's first Week 5 injury report.

Despite being a limited participant on the practice field, Cribbs' immediate return is a great sign for a Cleveland offense that was unable to produce big plays in the passing game over the first four weeks of the season. Along with keeping a watchful eye on Cribbs, the Browns also designated linebacker James-Michael Johnson, defensive end Frostee Rucker and defensive backs Ray Ventrone and Usama Young for limited work on Wednesday.

Aside from the boost that Cribbs' return gives the offense though, the team still practiced without the services of receivers Travis Benjamin and Mohamed Massaquoi on Wednesday due to a pair of hamstring injuries. Massaquoi, who has recorded at least 30 receptions and 350 yards receiving in each of his first three years in the league, sat out against the Ravens and remains questionable for Week 5.
