2012 NFL Draft: Cleveland Browns In Position To Trade Up For Robert Griffin III, According To Charley Casserly

Cleveland Browns coach Pat Shurmur told The Cleveland Plain Dealer that it's too early to tell whether or not the Browns will try to move up to select Robert Griffin III in the upcoming draft.

Cleveland Browns coach Pat Shurmur told The Cleveland Plain Dealer that it's too early to tell whether or not the Browns will try to move up to select Robert Griffin III in the upcoming draft. However, Shurmur did say the thing about the NFL Combine that he is most looking forward to is getting a chance to meet and speak with Griffin III.

Many draft experts expect that Cleveland will attempt to trade up to the No. 2 pick which the St. Louis Rams currently hold in order to select Griffin III. Via Evan Silva of ProFootballTalk:

The Browns starting quarterback last season was second-year player Colt McCoy from Texas. McCoy threw for over 2,700 yards, 14 touchdowns and 11 interceptions in 13 games.
