Super Bowl 2012: Both Teams Have Players With Ohio Connections

Given the long time success in college football by the Ohio State Buckeyes, it is no surprise that a player from the state of Ohio is guaranteedd to get a Super Bowl ring tonight. Tight End Jake Ballard will represent the Buckeyes tonight for the Giants, as will center Jim Cordle.

Chase Blackburn represents the Akron Zips for the Giants, as does Domenik Hixon, who is on injured reserve.

The Patriots have Kent State's Julian Edelman on its roster, giving the Golden Flashes a presence on Super Bowl Sunday. Defensive End Mike Wright of the Cincinnati Bearcats is on the Patriots injured reserve list.
