Browns Free Agency 2012: Peyton Hillis Signs With Kansas City Chiefs

Peyton Hillis has left the Cleveland Browns and signed a one-year deal with the Kansas City Chiefs, according to ESPN NFL Insider Adam Schefter.

After a breakout season in his first season with the Browns in 2010 in which Hillis ran for 1,177 yards, he was a hot commodity around the league. However, a lackluster 2011 season marred by injuries and bizarre behavior off-the-field really dragged down Hillis' value.

Hillis will pair up with former Browns offensive coordinator Brian Daboll, who signed on with the Chiefs earlier in the offseason to become their offensive coordinator. In his first tweet since December, Hills sent a parting message to Browns fans:
