Stay connected for news and updates

Former Browns safety Mike Adams has signed a contract with the Denver Broncos, according to Mary Kay Cabot of the Cleveland Plain Dealer. Adams was not expected to re-sign with the Browns and had a number of visits scheduled with other teams. The Broncos, however, offered him a contract he could not refuse so he will be with John Fox's club for the 2012 season.

While the Browns lost Adams, they did retain Brian Schaefering, who signed his exclusive rights free agent tender. The Browns also announced that they re-signed Oniel Cousins, who saw action in four games last season, including one start at right tackle.
