Browns Free Agency 2012: Cleveland Pursuing LB Manny Lawson, According To Report

Stay connected for news and updates

The Cleveland Browns have been focusing on shoring up their defense this offseason, signing a couple defensive linemen and defensive backs, but one area they haven' really touched is the linebacker corps. Well, they're trying to take care of that, too, according to the Cleveland Plain Dealer.

The Browns are one of possibly four teams interested in former Bengals linebacker Manny Lawson, Scout.com reported Tuesday.

The other teams are the Raiders, Colts and Packers. The Packers have been in discussions for Lawson, the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel reported Tuesday.

Lawson is entering his seventh season after spending a year in Cincinnati and five in San Francisco. Lawson's best season came for the 49ers in 2009, when he had six and a half sacks and 66 tackles, according to Football Reference.
