2012 NFL Draft: Browns Hosted Kendall Wright, Others On Tuesday

Plain Dealer's Mary Kay Cabot reported on Wednesday that the Cleveland Browns had hosted a slew of draftable players on Tuesday. The biggest name among them -- indeed, the only one she mentions in her tweet -- was Baylor wide receiver Kendall Wright.

wide receiver Kendall Wright among high-profile draft prospects that visited Browns Tuesday, source said.

In 2011, Wright had a whopping 1663 yards on 108 receptions along with 14 touchdowns playing as the number one receiver on a powerful Baylor offense that featured Robert Griffin III at quarterback.

Wright has been a popular pick for the Browns with their 22nd pick in the first round of the draft, assuming they don't draft another receiver like Justin Blackmon higher with their fourth overall selection. It was a more popular selection back when the Browns were considered the favorite to pick up Robert Griffin III just because they were so used to playing with each other, but Wright would still be a solid selection at 22 with or without his star QB going to the same team.

Colt McCoy needs all the help he can get at receiver, especially if the Browns are unable to get Ryan Tannehill for their new franchise QB of the future with their fourth pick.
