Cleveland Browns' defensive tackle Taylor could be out up to six months if he does have a torn pectoral muscle.

One of the few bright spots for the Cleveland Browns last season was rookie defensive tackle Phil Taylor. But as the team prepares for 2012, it appears that Taylor might be on the mend.

Taylor needs an MRI, and he might have a torn pectoral muscle, according to John Telich of Fox 8 Cleveland.

Typically, a torn pectoral muscle sidelines a player for 4-6 months, so the injury would put part of Taylor's season in jeopardy.

In his rookie season out of Baylor, Taylor had 59 tackles and four sacks for Cleveland. He was expected to be one of the players the Browns could count on for production this upcoming season.
