When the Cleveland Browns drafted quarterback Brandon Weeden out of Oklahoma State with the No. 22 overall pick in the 2012 NFL Draft, Colt McCoy's future as the starting quarterback was immediately put into question. The night before the quarterbacks will participate with the full team together for the first time, Cleveland Browns GM Tom Heckert made it clear who the organization expects to be under center this season:
#Browns GM Tom Heckert clarified the QB situation: "The best guy is going to play, but we fully expect Brandon Weeden to be the guy.''— Mary Kay Cabot (@MaryKayCabot) May 21, 2012
Of course, while he can't be happy with the lack of confidence in him, Colt McCoy insists that he's working harder than ever and is prepared to battle the rookie for the starting position.
