NFL Supplemental Draft: Browns Interested In Josh Gordon

Stay connected for news and updates

The Cleveland Browns have been linked to wide receiver Josh Gordon in the 2012 NFL Supplemental Draft. Gordon, formerly of Baylor and Utah, will have a pro day workout in Houston on Tuesday and the Browns will be one of the teams in attendance, via Mary Kay Cabot of The Plain Dealer.

Gordon could be selected as high as the second round and probably won't last past the fourth. He has more buzz than anybody going into Thursday's draft.

Gordon never actually played for Utah after transferring from Baylor before last season. Baylor coach Art Briles suspended him indefinitely after a marijuana arrest in 2011, then had to sit out a year with the Utes. He declared for the draft for financial reasons.

If the Browns do pay a high price for Gordon, it will be because of his immense potential. He has tremendous physical tools and reportedly runs the 40 in under 4.4 seconds.
