Browns Training Camp: Josh Gordon Ready To Put College Problems Behind Him In NFL

The Cleveland Browns used a second round pick in the NFL supplemental draft to take wide receiver Josh Gordon, a talent that passes all of the physical eye tests despite a series of three failed drug tests during his college career. The Browns were willing to take a chance on Gordon after getting to know the wide receiver who could be a game-changer on the field at 6-foot-3 and 225 pounds if he can stay out of trouble off the field.

During the Browns first day of training camp, Gordon didn't shy away from questions about his past, instead taking them head on, admitting to one failed marijuana test at Utah and two failed tests at Baylor. He also expressed his intent to move forward in a positive direction now that he is in the NFL.

"I'm definitely a changed person," Gordon said. "The things that happened were such a long time ago, and the fact that there's this many people in such a prestigious organization like this holding their jobs and their necks out on the line for a guy like me says a lot about them, their character. I just want to meet them halfway on that agreement. And if they're gonna be willing to do this for me, I want to just be willing to reciprocate."
