Browns Vs. Eagles Final Score: Cleveland Falls To Philadelphia, 27-10

The Cleveland Browns lost their first game of the 2012 preseason on Friday night to the team that will be their regular season Week 1 opponent. The Philadelphia Eagles had little trouble handling the Browns, cruising to a 27-10 victory that was never in doubt.

The Eagles put up two touchdowns in the first half, while Cleveland didn't get in the end zone until early in the fourth quarter. Maybe most distressing for the Browns was the way in which the Eagles shredded all combinations of Cleveland's secondary. Nick Foles and Trent Edwards, Philadelphia's second- and third-string quarterbacks, managed to complete 26 of 36 passes on the night for a total of 263 yards. Philly also threw for three touchdowns, though the Browns did snatch an interception.

On the offensive side of the ball, Browns starter Brandon Weeden only went 9-of-20 in the first half for 117 yards. He did not throw an interception, but he did lose a fumble deep in Cleveland territory. Colt McCoy fared slightly better, going 7-of-9 for 74 yards including a touchdown to Evan Moore.

The Browns will be back on the field for their last preseason game of 2012 on Thursday Aug. 30 vs. the Chicago Bears.
