Sims was reportedly released by the Browns earlier on Friday, but they instead were able to find a trade partner. The pick is likely to be based on how much Sims plays for the Eagles -- if he sees the field at all.
Sims is an undrafted free agent from Iowa State. In order to make room for Sims, the Eagles cut guard Julian Vandervelde.
