Joe Haden Apologized To Teammates For Suspension In Locker Room After Loss To Eagles

Cleveland Browns cornerback Joe Haden was suspended for four games by the NFL before the team's season opener against the Philadelphia Eagles for violating the league's policy on performance enhancing substances, and after the Browns' disappointing 17-16 loss Haden made an apology to his teammates. He reportedly tested positive for Adderall during the offseason, and news of a potential suspension surfaced during training camp, but the the fact that he can't go out on the field and help his team win is what really stings the rising star (via Cleveland.com):

"It hurts him not to be out there," linebacker D'Qwell Jackson said. "Joe is one of the biggest competitors on this team and he practices hard and plays hard. He came up to a few of us and he apologized for what had happened. If he knew the outcome before the situation happened, he obviously wouldn't have done it. It's here and hopefully the suspension goes by pretty quick and those other guys can step up. But he's feeling bad about it."

Haden will not be eligible to return until after the Browns play the Giants on Oct. 7. Cleveland is set to take on the Cincinnati Bengals at 1 p.m. ET on Sunday in Cincinnati.
