GIF: Trent Richardson Scores First Touchdown

Stay connected for news and updates

Rookie running back Trent Richardson scored the first touchdown of his career to bring the Cleveland Browns within four points of the Cincinnati Bengals. Taking a handoff up the middle, Richardson cut to the right side of the field before making a dive into the corner of the end zone to make the score 14-10 in favor of the Bengals.

The run was 32 yards, one yard better than his total yardage in Week 1. After the lackluster debut of 31 yards on 19 carries, Richardson is already showing much better in Week 2. He has eight carries for 58 yards after the run at the 8:05 mark in the second quarter.

The highlight-worthy run comes after Bengals linebacker Rey Maualuga's comments that Richardson "didn't do nothing spectacular" in the season opener. Richardson told The Plain Dealer that he wasn't going to talk back to the Bengals' linebacker, but instead would let his play do the talking.

So far, his play has been loud and clear.
