Browns Vs. Bengals: Rey Maualuga Comes Away Impressed With Trent Richardson

Much was made about the back-and-forth between Cincinnati Bengals linebacker Rey Maualuga and Cleveland Browns running back Trent Richardson leading up to their Week 2 matchup.

Maualuga said that Richardson has done "nothing spectacular." Richardson responded, saying "I let my game speak for myself."

But at the end of the day, the two shook hands and discussed their conflict. This time, writes Zac Jackson of FoxSportsOhio.com, Maualuga came away impressed.

"He came out and made a statement," Maualuga said. "He had a good game...We shook hands. We're moving forward. I'll see him in a few weeks."

The Cleveland Browns lost the game, but Trent Richardson was phenomenal, finishing with 109 yards rushing, 36 yards receiving and two touchdowns. It was the game Richardson was focused on, not the media-driven dispute between him and Maualuga.

"We're just playing football," Richardson said. "It don't matter what anyone says."

The Browns and Bengals meet again Week 6 in Cleveland.
