Cleveland Browns safety T.J. Ward was spotted wearing a cast after the team's 23-16 loss to the Baltimore Ravens Thursday night.
The secondary for the Cleveland Browns can't seem to catch a break. That may be a poor choice of words, however, because strong safety T.J. Ward was spotted wearing a cast on his right hand after the team's 23-16 loss to the Baltimore Ravens Thursday night.
Nate Ulrich of the Akron Beacon Journal caught up with Ward after the game, and the Browns safety said the injury happened early in the game and that he is unsure whether there is a fracture.

Ward is by far the team's best safety, so it could be a big blow to an already-suffering unit. Cleveland patched together a secondary while star cornerback Joe Haden served his four-game suspension for a violation of the league's substance abuse policy, but now the injury bug has targeted safeties.
Tashaun Gipson and Usama Young suffered knee injuries during the loss on Thursday night, so now the team may have to get creative and turn to someone like cornerback Sheldon Brown on the back end of the defense. Brown was recently demoted from starting cornerback to a nickle package performer.
