Cleveland Browns cornerback Joe Haden practiced Friday with the team and is planning on playing in Cleveland's season opener at home against the Philadelphia Eagles on Sunday.
According to Browns beat reporter Daryl Ruiter via Twitter, Haden has not received an update from the NFL regarding the appeal of his four-game suspension, which was handed down in the offseason following his reportedly failing a drug test for Adderall, a banned stimulant in the league.
According to Greg Aiello, spokesperson for the NFL, players that practice on Wednesdays before games are usually available to play on the weekend, which would indicate that Haden should be good to go, at least for Week 1.
Facing an offense with dangerous downfield weapons such as wide receiver DeSean Jackson, Haden's skills as the Browns' top corner will be especially important as Cleveland looks to start the 2012 season with a victory at home.
