Wizards End Road Losing Streak, Beat Cavaliers 115-110

The Cleveland Cavaliers ended a streak on Friday night when they beat the Los Angeles Clippers at The Q. Tonight, they helped the Washington Wizards end a losing streak of their own, while starting another losing streak in the process.

Nick Young scored 31 points as the Wizards took advantage of a sluggish start by the Cavs to gain their first road win of the season 115-110. The Wizards had started the season 0-25 on the road, which would have made things very interesting had the Cavaliers lost to the Clippers. Instead, much of the intrigue was gone, and the Wizards beatdown the Cavaliers rather easily.

The Wizards' No. 1 overall pick from the 2010 draft, John Wall, scored 19 points and added 14 assists while Josh Howard scored 16 points. Andray Blatche had 17 points, as did Kirk Hinrich.

The Cavaliers were led by former Wizards star Antawn Jamison who scored 21 points. J.J. Hickson had 16 points and 13 rebounds. Mo Williams, in his second game back from a hip injury chipped in 10 points and eight assists.

The Wizards shot 54.3% from the field while grabbing 48 rebounds. The Cavaliers shot poorly from the field – 42.2% – and the free-throw line – 19/31(61.3%)

The Cavaliers fell behind 21-8 just 5 minutes into the game and never really challenged the Wizards the rest of the night. The Cavaliers trailed by 22 at halftime – 68-46.
