Cavaliers Vs. Jazz Final Score: Cleveland Dips Below .500 With Road Loss To Utah

The Cleveland Cavaliers lost their second straight and fell below .500 after a 113-105 loss to the still perfect at home Utah Jazz on Tuesday night.

Cleveland stormed out of the locker rooms in the second half with 37 third quarter points, pulling as close as three on a handful of occasions, but couldn't come all the way back after the Jazz built a nine point first half lead.

The Jazz led by as many as 11 in the fourth and coasted to their fifth home win of the season. Their 5-0 start at home is their best since 2008.

Kyrie Irving erupted in the second half for the Cavs, finishing with 20 points. Antawn Jamison recovered from a shaky first half to score 22. Anderson Varejao had a double-double with 12 points and 11 rebounds.

Paul Millsap had a huge game for the Jazz, dropping 30 on 13-for-17 shooting and grabbing 12 rebounds.

The Cavs continue their road trip and head to Phoenix on Thursday night to play the Suns.

Cavaliers Vs. Jazz Score Update: Cleveland Down 9 At Half

The Cleveland Cavaliers are trying to stay on the better end of .500 on Tuesday night, but they'll have to get past the perfect-at-home Utah Jazz. The Jazz are half way to their best start at home since 2008, leading the Cavs 52-43 at the break.

After a back-and-forth first quarter, the Utah Jazz turned it up a notch at the end of the second quarter, outscoring the Cavs 11-1 in the final four minutes to take a nine-point lead into the locker rooms.

The Cavs cannot stop Paul Millsap who scored six of those 11 points to end the first half and has 16 total on a perfect 8-for-8 shooting. Al Jefferson already has 10 rebounds and has added eight points in 15-plus minutes for Utah.

Cleveland's being led by third-year journeyman Alonzo Gee who has eight points on 3-for-3 shooting. Antawn Jamison was just 3-for-12 in the first half and a big reason why the Cavs shot less than 40-percent in the first 24 minutes.
