It's been a little while since LeBron James decided to take his talents from the Cleveland Cavaliers to the Miami Heat, but the former Akron star is apparently not completely finished leaving the state of Ohio. The most recent move for James revolves around his famed LeBron James Skills Academy.
James has returned to Akron the last couple of summers, but this year he's going to have to move the annual high school all-star event. It's for a good reason, however, as he's moving the camp to Las Vegas so he can also continue to train with Team USA as they prepare for the Olympics.
The LeBron James Skills Academy no longer will be staged at the University of Akron. Instead, it will be conducted in Las Vegas so James can participate while training with the United States Olympic team. The change of venue was announced Tuesday as Nike presented its 2012 calendar of non-scholastic basketball events.
This is the first year the event won't be held in Ohio since its founding in 2007.
